Great shares about your "trees". I'm going to share with Megs to give inspiration for studio apartment options. I need to take you to task that you didn't mention the connection to THE George Michael from last Christmas. Not only was the script inspired by the song, it also celebrates George's work, including 13 songs on the soundtrack and an appearance by Andrew Ridgely of Wham.

Once again my sweet wife is right on spot. We love living in amongst the trees on our little plot of heaven. I wish all of you a Very Happy Winter Solstice celebration.

It's difficult for me to get into the whole tree thing - we have such ugly pines for sale at Christmas in Australia, so we started using a beautifully-shaped artifical tree when the kids were little. They're now in their late 30's and early 40's and we've moved on to fit with the summer and beach lifestyle. I find wonderful dead branches in the garden which I spray white or else leave natural. Whatever takes my fancy. And then hang our lifetime of ornaments upon.

But my bestest tree, a keeper, fits our lifestyle totally. We live in a small cottage on the coast and my husband crafted a beautiful tree from driftwood. Because the cottage is small, so is the tree and so it is just hung with small wooden ornaments and strung with a skein of tiny silver and gold stars. In the Little Sunroom, I have one of those aforementioned dead branches strung with tiny fairy lights. But given its summer and not dark until nearly bedtime, we don't see much of them. Kind of like Christmas really...
